Another close finish, but in the end the Calgary Flames won their sixth straight with a 2-1 overtime win over the Predators Tuesday night in Nashville.

Kris Russell popped the winner just 1:23 into the extra frame.

The Flames are now 14-14-and-2 on the year and sit 10th in the NHL's Western Conference, just a point out of a playoff spot.

The Flames are also a league leading 8-and-1 in overtime this season.

They'll look to make it seven straight Thursday night, but it won't be easy as they're in Texas to face the top team in the league in the Dallas Stars.
