Some new information has been released on the man injured in a single-vehicle rollover Wednesday night (July 28).

The accident happened on Township Road 203A near Big Rock Trail at around 7:45 p.m.

An officer on-scene says a westbound truck was trying to pass another vehicle and veered slightly off-road to the left, overcorrected, and swerved off the road to the right, flipping in the process.

The driver is a 72-year-old man from Black Diamond.

The truck reportedly struck another vehicle, but the vehicle was able to slow down in time and received only minor damage.

Only the driver of the truck was injured, having to be cut from the vehicle and transported to the hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.

As of this morning, he was still being treated in the ICU.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 55-year-old woman from Turner Valley, was uninjured.
