A new summer tradition began today in the Foothills, with a Rat Rod Rally to support the Alberta Lung Association.

This organization is near and dear to Tena Tayler's heart, the organizer of this Rat Rod Rally, as she herself is a lung cancer survivor. In order to give back and help support others who may also be battling lung disease, she decided to gather up rat rod lovers from around the Foothills and drive for the cause. The cost to partake in the drive was $20, and every cent raised is going to be donated to the Alberta Lung Association.

These cool and unique cars made 5 stops along the way, including Priddis, Millarville, Turner Valley, Black Diamond, and finished off in Longview. At each stop, the drivers got to enjoy lively entertainment, good food, and luckily great weather.

Tena says she plans to make this an annual event, and hopes that with each passing year it becomes bigger and better!

This was a great event, for a great cause, and we can't wait for the next one!
