A couple of Premier Jason Kenney's ministers have new jobs.

The former minister of justice and solicitor general, Kaycee Madu has been made the minister of labour and immigration.

Madu had been moved out of the justice role after calling the Edmonton police chief after he'd received a ticket.

Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Adèle Kent says Madu's call was related to his concern about racial profiling, not to get the ticket reversed.

Nonetheless, Justice Kent says that does not absolve him of responsibility.

One-time health minister Tyler Shandro takes over as minister of justice and solicitor general.

Sonya Savage, who had been in the role on an interim basis, continues as energy minister.
