When the dust settled it was Kurt Bensmiller walking away with the $25,000, a new truck and the title of Grande Prairie Stompede Champion Sunday night in the Swan City.

Bensmiller took the title off barrel two, beating out aggregate winner Troy Dorchester, John Walters and "The King" Kelly Sutherland.

High River's Jason Glass got into penalty trouble again, as he finished 16th on the night.

Same story for Okotoks Mark Sutherland who was 20th on the final night of racing.

While High River's Jordie Fike will look to regroup as he was 26th Sunday and finished 28th in the aggregate.

The drivers are back on the track in two weeks in Saskatoon starting June 9.
