A busy weekend in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League for local teams.

The Okotoks Bisons face Ponoka at home Friday night before heading to Coaldale to take on the Copperheads Saturday.

They're looking to make up some ground on Coaldale and Cochrane in the South Division standings, but G.M. Jay McFarlane says they can't look past the low ranked Stampeders Friday.

"Yeah, I don't really look at it as an easy weekend, I know Ponoka is statistically the bottom of the North Division, but having played them once already, this is out last meeting at home, which is our advantage. It was a closer game than we anticipated. So, they're a much better team that what their points are offering, so we know Friday is going to be a great challenge."

The High River Flyers are home Friday and Saturday nights to the Medicine Hat Cubs and Cochrane Generals.

They're on the road Sunday in Airdrie.

While the Strathmore Wheatland Kings are home to Stettler Saturday in their lone game of the weekend.
