The Dawgs bats came alive Thursday night in Brooks, as they took down the Bombers 9-0.

The Dawgs jumped on the Bombers early in the game and never looked back.

Clutch hitting and stellar pitching helped the Dawgs cruise to their 6th win of the season, as they remain the only undefeated team in the WCBL.

For the second night in a row, the Dawgs opened the scoring up in the first inning driving home three runs to get the game rolling. Ryan Doussett (Okanagan College) had a strong performance as he went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs in the game. In the top of the 6th inning, Alejandro Cazorla (Bossier Parish CC, LA) hit the first grand slam of the season. The Dawgs would add 2 more runs in the 7th to put the game out of reach.

Brody Forno (Williston State College, ND) pitched an absolute gem for the Dawgs in the blowout win. Forno struck out 7 batters and only gave up 4 hits while tossing 4 scoreless innings. The bullpen came in and shut down the Bombers not allowing a hit in relief of Forno. The Dawgs pitching staff as a collective struck out 12 batters in the win.

The Dawgs will make their way back to beautiful Seaman Stadium for the final three games of this six-game stretch starting Friday night when they host the Sylvan Lake Gulls, first pitch at 7:05 pm. Saturday, June 3rd will be the Dawgs Futures game, opening pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.
