The Okotoks Bisons are looking like HJHL champs they are in the U21 Hockey Provincials.

The host team won their second consecutive game Thursday night shutting out the Sylvan Lake Wranglers 4-0.

Boogie Blackwater scored the Bisons first goal just like he did in the previous game as the Bisons went into the second period with a 1-0 lead. Goals from Scott Brown and Adam Kirkpatrick in the second stretched their lead to 3-0 and the end of 40 minutes.

The third period had its fair share of penalties and the Bisons were able to capitalize with their fourth goal scored by Ethan MacIntyre just four seconds after a power play ended.

Dylan Fries was in net for this game switching out from Grady Nicholas and stopped 20 shots for the shutout.

The 'Herd's' record is now 2-0 in the Provincials. The Bisons also recently defeated the familiar foe in three straight games for the HJHL championship.

And there were also two other shutouts on Thursday as the CBHA Rangers blanking the Wainwright Bisons 2-0 and the Sherwood Park Knights downed the Fort St John Huskies 3-0.

The Bisons and CBHA Rangers are the only undefeated teams after two days.
