The Okotoks Art Gallery is looking to reunite a plush rabbit with its owner.

Volunteer Shirley Paradis found the bunny when she went to lock up the public piano on McRae Street a few nights ago.

Paradis has been opening the piano every morning and securing the piano every night for several years now, and is no stranger to finding lost things at the plaza, having recovered numerous items over the years including earrings, a lug wrench, and a screwdriver.

She says the rabbit was hard to miss.

"From quite a ways away, even though it was white and blended in with the white piano, I could see this little bunny. I looked around and there was nobody in the park playing; it was 9 o'clock so somebody that had a tiny bunny like that probably wouldn't be there at that time of night. I thought I'd take it into the gallery the next morning, and I did!"

The next morning, a picture of the rabbit was posted on the Okotoks Culture & Heritage Facebook page in hopes to locate the owner and get the bunny home safe.

The post has been shared over 30 times since then, though search goes on, as the owner has yet to come forward.

If you recognize the rabbit or know the owner, give the Okotoks Art Gallery a call at (403) 938-3204.
