The Okotoks Oilers had a tight game with the Calgary Canucks yesterday, but pulled out a win in overtime.

Carson Beers, Zach Huber, and Trey Degraaf made up the scoring squad last night, to get the team their 4-3 victory.

This brings the Oilers record to 3-and-0 in the exhibition games.

Oilers Forward, Trey Degraaf, says the team played well together.

"I played with good players and we had chemistry early on, which isn't always easy this early on in a season. It was good, we got the win", he says.

There is always room for improvement, and Degraff says that before their next game, they could improve their communication on the ice.

"A lot of the guys don't know each other that well yet, and are a little shy to talk. The more we talk the easier it will be", he says.

The next game for the green and gold is September 11th. They will be hitting the road to take on the Brooks Bandits.
