The Okotoks Oilers solidified their hold on third place in the south division of the AJHL Monday afternoon with a big 8-2 win over the Drumheller Dragons at the Centennial arena.

Tanner Laderoute led the way on the score sheet with a pair of goals while Reece Soukoroff, Braeden Jenkins, Matt McNair, Dantin Davis, Braeden Nesbitt and Tanner Schachle added singles.

The Oilers have five games left in the regular season and three of those are against their likely first-round playoff opponent the Calgary Canucks.

Okotoks is home for a pair this coming weekend, Friday against Whitecourt and Saturday against the Canucks.
