The Okotoks Oilers close out the AJHL regular season this weekend starting with their final home game Friday, March 3, against the Calgary Mustangs.

The Oilers find themselves in second spot in the South Division Friday morning thanks to a 4-1 Calgary Canucks loss to the Canmore Eagles Thursday, March 2.

In fact, the Oilers, Canucks and Eagles are all tied with 76 points.

However, the Oilers hold a game in hand over both the Canucks and Eagles which means they need to either win Friday against the Mustangs or Saturday, March 4, in Canmore to lock up second spot.

If the Oilers can hang onto second spot, they'll open the AJHL playoffs next week against the Olds Grizzlys.

They get going Friday night at 7 o'clock at the Centennial Arena.
