The Okotoks Oilers busted out of their four game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Canucks Wednesday night in Calgary.

Forward Brayden Jenkins scored the final Oilers goal of the night and says they put in a better effort which paid off.

"I think when we just played our game it worked. Compared to some of the last games where we got away from our game, where you see the outcome is us losing. We stuck to it tonight and came out with a win."

Carter Huber, Jordie Lawson and Cooper Page also scored for the Oilers who are home to the Drumheller Dragons and Lloydminster Bobcats this Friday and Saturday nights.
