As you might expect, work on a new youth sport court in High River's on hold.

Work on the Brian Perry Youth Park started earlier this year directly across from Highwood High School and north of the skate park.

A donation of $200,000 from Brian Perry through the United Way High River Partnership helped make it possible.

It includes new landscaping features and an all-sport court with basketball nets and includes lights.

The final details are expected to be completed by Spring 2024 and a Grand Opening ceremony will be held to officially unveil the new facility.

The park won't be open to the public until the court markings are applied, landscaping is finalized, and a safety inspection is conducted.
