The Highwood Mustangs Varsity Girls are hosting the annual "Sandy Bexson Memorial" Basketball Tournament this weekend in High River.

Coach Curt Colfer says they've got a full house on hand for the event.

"We've got eight teams coming this year. It's a fantastic field. We've got teams coming from Athabasca, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Canmore's coming to town. A very strong field. We've got three teams in the top 10 in the Province this year. So it should be great games happening at the Highwood gym this weekend."

The tournament runs Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday.
