The PGA of Alberta is coming into the "meat" of their season with plenty of big events over the next few weeks.

Tour Rep, Mike Libbus, was in High River this week for a one day professional series event, and says one of the highlights of the season is coming early next week.

"Our next event's our championship, which is our biggest event of the season, we're out in Stewart Creek in Canmore. The field will be strong out there. All the top players that are vying to win the Order of Merit Championship and make the Alberta team. It's still a long season to go, we have a little over a month to go and lots of events. It'll be a battle for that Order of Merit, right down to the final event."

Plenty of locals will be taking part including Greg Johnson from Crystal Ridge in Okotoks, Ken Stasiewich, Ron Laugher and Joel Hasselman from Priddis Greens, Brian Bassen from Strathmore, Ryan Tofani and Dan McIntosh from Cottonwood, Craig Gibson from Sirroco and Jeremy Tanner from Speargrass.
