Last summer  the ever popular ALS ice bucket challenge raised millions of dollars for ALS and created a bunch of awareness for the disease. Today on The Eagle Facebook Page an Okotokian decided to start a challenge of their own!  It's very simple and will only cost you $10.00.

FOOD BANK CHALLENGE!!

Did you know that nearly 850,000 Canadians need assistance from the Food Bank each month?

Our Food Banks rely on donations from citizens to keep them going.

This is why my family has decided to start the Food Bank Challenge.

Here's how it works:

All nominees must donate either $10.00 cash or $10.00 in food to their local food bank. Once completed - post a picture of your donation and nominate three more people to donate the same. Those three nominees will then challenge three of their friends to take part in the Food Bank Challenge.

If we work together - maybe we can fill the shelves of our local food banks and help families in need!

Yesterday, my family and I donated $10.00 for each person we want to nominate.

I nominate Jayme Hall from The Eagle 100.9, Dylan Willows from The Zone at 91-3 and Danny Vacon from The Dudes to take part in the Food Bank Challenge!

I also nominate Sue Blair from SMOL Design, Chris and Claire Hemsley Jardine from Highline Electrical and Kristine Schindel to take part in the challenge.

When you post your nomination, don't forget to use the hashtag ‪#‎foodbankchallenge‬
