Calgary's Kevin Koe got into the win column in the evening draw last night at the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling, WFG Masters in Okotoks.

He got past American John Shuster 7-3 to even his record at 1-and-1.

Shuster falls to 0-and-2.

Brad Jacobs remains on top at 2-and-0 thanks to a 4-3 win over fellow Ontarian Glen Howard.

On the ladies side, Manitoba's Jennifer Jones evened her record at 1-and-1 with a 9-7 win over Russia's Anna Sidorova.

Edmonton's Val Sweeting is a surprising 0-and-2 after falling to Sweden's Anna Hasselborg 6-5.

And Ottawa's Rachel Homan edged Edmonton's Kelsey Rocque 7-6.

In the morning draw for Thursday, Edmonton's Brendan Botcher takes on Glen Howard.

Scotland's David Murdoch battles Chestermere's John Morris and the Swiss team of Peter De Cruz squares off against Toronto's John Epping.

On the ladies side, Switzerland's Benia Feltscher faces Ontario's Alison Flaxey.

They hit the ice at 9 o'clock.

One change to the line-up at the WFG Masters this week as former Canadian and Olympic Champ Brad Gushue is out with a bad hip.

But former Alberta and Canadian Junior Champ Charlie Thomas has stepped in to take his place.

Thomas has actually been filling in for Gushue for the last few events as Gushue battles to come back.

Thomas is throwing the third stones, while regular third Mark Nichols is calling the shots as skip.
