The Holy Trinity Academy Knights scored early and often en-route to a 52-6 win over the Highwood Mustangs Friday, September 23 in Big Rock Football League action.

The Mustangs fell behind in a big way early, much to the disappointment of Coach Brian Brandford.

"We didn't get great leadership at the start. Our guys sucked it up and played a little bit better in the second half. And like I keep telling them, it's not about the score, it's about the improvement. And if we don't get our leaders to step up and do what they're supposed to do. It's going to be a long road before we get the program back to where we want it."

Brandford says the boys did put up a bit of a fight in the second half down 44-0.

"I'm pleased with the way the way they came back in the second half and at least showed some heart. But we've got to do it from the start of the game."

The Mustangs are home to the Foothills Composite Falcons Friday, September 30, at 4:30 P.M., while the Knights heads to Calgary to take on the Rundle College Cobras.
