High River ratepayers are looking at a municipal tax increase of 3.35 per cent.
Council passed its 2024 budget Monday.
The Operating Budget comes in at just under $33 million while the Capital and Special Projects Budget is $24 million.
David Crain, the manager of Financial Services for the Town says council and administration struck a balance between service level commitments to the community, municipal taxes and the long-term sustainability of the tow.
In High River the average assessed home value is $445,000.
That homeowner would be paying about $81 a year or $6.75 a month more in property taxes in 2024.
The Town used $645,000 from its Tax Stabilization Fund to reduce the increase.
Those figures don't include the provincial education requisition, which won't be known until after the next provincial budget.
