The chucks hit the track for the start of the final WPCA show of the season Wednesday night in Rocky Mountain House, and for High River's Jason Glass it was a good start.

He had the fourth fastest time of the night to sit just a little over half a second back of night one leader, Chanse Vigen.

2014 "Battle of the Rockies" Champion, Rick Fraser is second, with "The King" Kelly Sutherland third, followed by Glass in fourth and Dustin Gorst in fifth.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland is about a second and a half off the pace as he finished 12th.

High River's Jordie Fike took a two second penalty for an outrider knocking a barrel which drops him to 29th.

The race for the World title got closer too after Wednesday's races.

Kirk Sutherland remains at the top, but only by a very slim 10 points over rival Kurt Bensmiller.

Bensmiller posted the 13th fastest time on night one, while Sutherland was 24th.

The wagon with the highest point total after Saturday's races will be declared the champion.
