Snowplows are helping but it's still really slippery on some snow-covered highways.
The 5 to 10 cm of snow hitting the Foothills is causing slowdowns all over the roads.
It's especially slow in Calgary with backups pretty much everywhere.
Thanks to snowplow operators on the major roads allowing for safer driving conditions but there are still slippery sections and watch out for bridges and decks freezing.
A northwest wind gusting from 30 to 50 km/h is also causing it to feel a lot colder than the current temperature.
