The cold weather isn't getting anyone down this weekend!

Today was jam packed with fun events including the Sheep River Health Trust's annual Mistletoe Market and Tree Auction.

Tons of people came out, dancers from Heart and Sole put on a grand show for the crowd and all of the Okotoks mascots boogied down to try and take the 2016 Twinkle Toes award...Sparky the fire dog definitely deserved to be champion this year!

On top of all the fun activities the Mistletoe Market had tons of hand crafted items that would be great as Christmas presents and the young ones also had the chance to buy something for Mom and Dad at the secret shopping area for kids only.

I had a blast and definitely ate one too many sweet buns from Cob's but how could I resist? There was sprinkles and frosting!

And there was more action across town this afternoon.

Cups 4 Cans was stationed at the Okotoks Sobey's collecting food items for the Okotoks Food Bank and handing out hot chocolate in exchange... I also had a cup of that to wash down the sweet buns!

Will and Bella are hoping to collect 100 items for the food bank and it looked like they accomplished their goal when I popped down to say hi to them.

Sheila Hughes, Okotoks Food Bank director, was coincidentally at Sobey's as well and was ecstatic to see the kids giving back.

Great work by both the Cups 4 Cans team and the Sheep River Health Trust, all in all it was a great day to be in Okotoks!
