High River RCMP say there was a fatal vehicle rollover on Highway 23 east of Highway 2 this morning.

One adult male was pronounced dead on the scene, while a female occupant was transferred via STARS to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area or slow down Eastbound on Highway 23.

RCMP say they're still investigating and more details will be released later.
