On Thursday, May 31st, 2018 the Foothills Advocacy in Motion Society hosted a wonderful dinner theatre and silent auction in order to raise funds for programs to support adults in the Foothills area with developmental disabilities. Hosted at the De Winton Community Hall, the event featured delicious cuisine by Hansel and Gretel Catering and a rendition of "The Lion in Winter" presented by the Dewdney Players. Be sure to check out the images below on the magical, medieval, evening! Note that all posters and decorations that can be seen were made by hand by those individuals who contributed their talent to the night! A round of applause to all that made the night a great success!

The Foothills AIM Society is a non-profit organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities in and around High River, Okotoks, and Strathmore. They currently have employees and volunteers dedicating over 1 700 hours of their month to improving the lives of adults with learning disabilities - and that statistic is only for Okotoks! The mission of the society is to cultivate the tremendous capabilities and potential that resides in each individual no matter their circumstance. The evening definitely advocated for increased awareness and compassion in each of our daily acts as we never know who we may be benefiting with our kindness.

The upcoming events that will be hosted by the Foothills AIM Society include the 2018 High River Golf Tournament on Friday, June 22nd and the 16th Annual High River Half Marathon hosted on Sunday, July 1st. Both events will raise funds in order to benefit those individuals with developmental disabilities in our near community. Make sure to check out their website for more information at http://faims.org/

Be sure to check out the next adventure of the Eagle 100.9 Street Team, the 2018 Sunset Soirée at the Leighton Art Center on Friday, June 1st and the Rotary Soap Box Derby on Saturday, June 2nd at Crystal Ridge Drive! Make sure you also stay posted and tuned in for any upcoming events!
