A five run second inning proved to be the difference as the Okotoks Dawgs took out the Edmonton Prospects 6-4 Saturday night.

It was once again the hot bat of Kellan Marruffo leading the charge, going 3-4 at the plate.

The Dawgs were able to knock in most of their runs via the opposing prospects who committed six errors on the night.

Alex Regan went five innings getting the win, while Jeremy Newton locked up the save.

The Dawgs are now 27-16 on the campaign and will look to lock-up 2nd in the WMBL's Alberta Division Sunday.

They'll wrap up their regular season home games against Medicine Hat during Wear Pink To The Park Day.

First pitch is 2:05 at Seaman Stadium.
