Active COVID cases continue to fall slightly in Okotoks, High River and Foothills County.

However the province reported 2,048 new cases on Thursday for a positivity rate of 10.1 per cent.

Of those 1,329 are considered to be the more contagious variants. That's approximately 62 per cent.

 There are now 632 COVID-19 patients in hospital, including 151 in intensive care units.

 The death toll in Alberta also rose by three to 2,076.

The number of vaccinations also continues to grow with 1,528,569 doses of vaccine administered as of the end of Tuesday.

That figure includes 292,765 fully vaccinated Albertans

 

Locally:

Okotoks: 206 active cases. A ratio of 577.9 cases per 100,00 people.

High River: 55 active cases. A ratio of 325 cases per 100,000 people.

Foothills County: 93 active cases. A ratio of 413.2 cases per 100,000 people.

Willow Creek MD: 68 active cases. A ratio of 411.4 active cases per 100.000 people.

Vulcan County: 20 cases. A ratio of 217.4 per 100,000 people.
