Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish picked up his first "Top Performer" award of the season thanks to a break-out game on Saturday against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Cornish cracked the 100-yard mark for the first time this season rushing for 120 yards on 15 carries.

In the third quarter, with the Stamps starting a drive at their own three-yard line, Cornish was instrumental in helping the Stamps march down the field 107 yards to the end zone.
On the series, Cornish ran the ball four times for 66 yards including runs of 26 and 21 yards.

Quarterback Drew Tate capped off the drive with a go-ahead touchdown.

Cornish needs just 468 more yards to surpass Earl Lunsford for third spot on the Stamps all-time career rushing list.

The Stamps are in Ottawa Friday.
