The CFR 'AAA' Chemical Bisons will get themselves a Macs Midget Tournament tune up tilt Wednesday night at Pason Centenninal Arena.

After a 5-1 loss in Strathmore against the U-17 Belarus Midget Team, the Bisons will turn their attention to the Austrian U-18 team.

Bisons Head Coach Sandy Henry says the international match-ups are entertaining for not just the players on the ice.

"For the kids and for the public, our fans, our parents, our volunteers and the locals in both those areas in Strathmore and Okotoks are going really  to enjoy those games," he says. "They have a little bit of a different flavour."

For Wednesday's game against the Austrians, Henry says you won't see the same roster that fans saw in Strathmore Tuesday for the Bisons as some regulars will take a day to prepare for the Macs Tournament on Boxing Day.

"We got a couple players will have to play both games but we're going to fill the rosters with our affiliated players and certainly give them an opportunity to have a little of a feel of what our program is about and be a little bit of entertainment for themselves and probably a step up in competition."

Henry expects the experienced international team in Austria will give everything the Bisons can handle.

"I think there's some energy about it and I think it's for fun and it's a fun deal before Christmas and people are going to enjoy it and the players are going to enjoy it and that's what these games are all about."

Puck drop for the game is 7 p.m. at Pason Centennial Arena.
