Make it three straight losses for the Calgary Flames after they dropped a 2-1 decision to the visiting Nashville Predators Wednesday night at the Dome.

The Flames got off to a slow start, falling behind 2-0 before Mark Girodano got the Flames on the board in the third period.

Flames Coach Bob Hartley is left scratching his head over the Flames slow starts of late.

"We were lucky enough to get three power plays, but we just couldn't generate any life or any momentum from a power play. Then they got their goals and we reeled back. If I would have an explanation or a reason, obviously we would fix it."

Flames sniper Johnny Gaudreau agrees saying they need to start quicker so they're not always having to play catch-up.

"We had a ton of chances there in that last two minutes, but if we score one on the power play earlier in the game, we don't have to worry about tying the game with a minute left, it's a tie game already. We need to get going on the better starts."

The Flames now take a week off for the NHL All-Star game.

They're back in action Wednesday, February 3 when the Carolina Hurricanes come to town.
