Elizabeth Street in downtown Okotoks was bustling with street performers, vendors, and artists today for the fourth annual Buskers Fest. The sun was shining, the temperture was hot, the sky was blue, and the entertainment and shopping was great.

The food vendors filled the street with mouth-watering aromas, and provided a great meal that satisfied our taste buds. In addition, other local vendors and artisans provided us with beautiful jewelery, clothes, crafts and cooking supplies to parooze through and buy.

Of course, the day was not short on the main attactions...the buskers! Local talents lined the streets today to show off what they could do. The talent ranged from everything from beautiful singing voices, playing the guitar, the violin, to balancing high above the ground while juggling knives. These buskers showed off their best in an effort to get some loonies and toonies from the crowd and competed for first place to win some cash prizes and head home with a pocket full of cash! There can only be one winner!

And the winner is...Eric Hess and his amazing guitar and singing skills.

The runner up was Jason Melnychuk with his juggling act.

And Marie won third place with her beautiful singing voice.

Also an hounorable mention goes out to the Jazz Holes and their awesome jazz band, and Rare Goods for their beautiful sister harmony.
