On December 27, the Prince Albert Raiders announced that they signed a High River product in this year's WHL Prospects Draft.

Goaltender Steele Bass signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Raiders.

Bass was selected in the third round, making him the 49th overall pick, and the fifth goalie drafted.

He was also the sixth player drafted to the Raiders.

Currently, Bass is a rookie with the Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna U18 Team, where he has seven starts.

Those games have given Bass a 5-1-1 record, a 3.21 GAA, and a .900 save percentage.
