12 months of giving continues and it has been an incredible year so far! The 12 Months of Giving campaign is entirely the generous work of Blair and Bev Gordon as well as their team at Century 21 Foothills.

"We thought 'we've got so many charities and causes that we support all year long,'" says Blair Gordon.

"We would kind of keep track of what we do and raise over the course of the year at their different functions. We try to give a little bit of a boost to all the communities in the Foothills for recognition and knowledge of what's going on and try to get some awareness out there so people will start to support and give on an annual basis."

Each month they fund-raise for a different event put on by a local organization and for August they have picked the Foothills Country Hospice's 'Rally 4 Hospice.'

"They are not funded by Alberta Healthcare. They rely on a lot of local and community input and support to cover their bills every day," says Gordon.

Taking place Saturday, August 28, supporters will rally together for end-of-life care in the Foothills!

Over the past three years, the rally has raised more than $800,000 for the Foothills Country Hospice and showcased an incredible line-up of cars from the Foothills, Calgary, and surrounding areas.

Century 21 Foothills has always been an incredible support for the fundraiser says development and communications officer with the Foothills Country Hospice, Stephanie Barnes.

"They have been long, long, long time supporters of our hospice absolutely, and the amount of money they have fund-raised for us and have donated in the past, is instrumental and we're so fortunate to have them in our community."

According to Barnes, not only do they donate funds, but they make sure they meet and support the people participating in the rally.

"(This year) they donated $10,000, but they're also supplying water bottles for all the participants. At one of the check stops they have a photographer lined up to take photos and they will be framed and given to each participant at the after-party. They just go above and beyond and do so much extra to make everything so special."
