Wynonna Earp is coming home this week.

She is returning to a town called Purgatory, which for this week is actually High River.

The story revolves around Wynonna Earp who has been away from home for years and she reluctantly comes back to take on the role that Wyatt Earp's heir is destined for -- demon protector. Her task is to take out Revenants, the resurrected souls of the criminals who were taken down at one time by her great-grandfather.

Crews from the Syfy television network will be filming scenes for season two from February 14th to the 16th, at the High River Fire Hall and at Colossi's Coffee house.

Deputy Fire Chef Trevor Allan says there will be no delays in response times while the crews are set up.

"We will just be moving around apparatus in the building so they can set up their equipment and optimize the location for the footage that they ultimately need to make a good production at the end of the day," Allan said.

Filming starts at the High River Fire Hall on Wednesday and intermittent traffic control will be in place on 5 Street S.E. between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The scenes from Colossi's Coffee house will require road closures on Thursday, Feb. 16 along 4 Avenue S.W. from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for outdoor scenes.

Regular traffic flow will resume after filming is complete in the afternoon. Production will then move inside Colossi’s Coffee House for the rest of the day.

The final scenes will be filmed after dark in the alley behind Alpha Nail & Spa and Maggie’s Diner. Crews anticipate that filming will be complete by midnight and will remove all equipment before exiting town.
