A developing weather system over the northwestern United States will move into Alberta today bringing significant showers with some embedded thunderstorms today.

Present guidance shows that most places will receive 20 to 40 mm of rain today and this evening, certain areas may receive 50 mm or more by morning.

However there is uncertainty in how widespread the rainfall area will be and how intense the rainfall will be.
