Good news for residents in Black Diamond and Turner Valley this week as water restrictions will be downgraded.

Beginning tomorrow, Wed. Aug 23, at 9 a.m., the full outdoor water ban Black Diamond and Turner Valley will be reduced.

The current restrictions will be downgraded to Level 2, meaning outdoor water use will be permitted on a schedule.

Outdoor water use includes watering lawns, washing vehicles, sidewalks, pads, exteriors of building, filling of hot tubs, recreational use of sprinklers and like water toys.

Odd numbered addresses may use water for these purposes on Thursdays and Sundays, while even numbered addresses are permitted on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Watering of grass or gardens may occur only on permitted days between 6 a.m., and 9 a.m., and 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Any person found to be non-compliant with the Level 2 restrictions may be fined $100 to $800.
