A total of 11 guests will make their way to Vulcan this July for the annual "Vul-Con" Star Trek Convention.

It's all to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the show this year.

Vulcan Tourism Administrator Devan Daniels has pulled out all the stops bringing in eight celebrity guests, plus the son of the late Leonard Nimoy, Adam Nimoy, to unveil a plaque of honour at the statue of his father that's been in Town since his visit in 2010.

Daniels says it was a monumental task to get that much star power in Vulcan.

"It took some doing this year because of course everybody's in great demand for all the different conventions that are out there across North America and throughout the world. But, we've managed to get the people that we wanted and we've put together a couple of events within the event that are firsts for any events or comic-cons, which will be a lot of fun."

"Vul-Con" runs July 9th and 10th.
