After a sufficient amount of moisture, the Town of Okotoks has lifted its fire advisory.

A release from fire services states:

"With the cooler temperatures and moisture received this past weekend, and cooler temperatures with precipitation forecasted for the remainder of this week, Okotoks Fire Services is removing the fire advisory for the Town of Okotoks.  The advisory was officially removed effective April 27 at 10:00 a.m.

Currently there are no fire restrictions in effect.

Fire permits are required for any type of burning inside town limits, except campfires. Safe campfires in approved fire pits are allowed in campgrounds and backyards."

The M.D. of Foothills also lifted its fire ban on Tuesday.
