It's that time of year again, the perfect time to get a cop with your crepe.

Cora's is teaming up with law enforcement torch run and Special Olympics Alberta for the third annual Cops and Crepes fundraiser.

Saturday and Sunday law enforcement and Special Olympics volunteers and participants will be waiting tables, selling merchandise and raising awareness for the event in hopes of hitting their donation goal.

general manager of Cora's Okotoks, David Basso says the plan is to raise $50,000 to donate to Special Olympics Alberta.

"Well the last two years we have raised approximately $60,000 a year. so we have done about $120,000 now over the course of the past two years. We are definitely hoping for as much as possible," he says. "If we could hit the $50,000 mark that would be fantastic across all our locations. Of course every dollar counts when it goes towards Special Olympics."

Cora's Okotoks the creator of this fundraiser is happy that this opportunity has spread to 15 other locations to make it a province wide event.

He says it's an amazing opportunity to help local charities.

"We have partnered up with such a great group such as the Special Olympics as well as the law enforcement torch run and its great to be involved in the communities. ranging  from the larger cities of Calgary and all those little locations in between. With locations in Airdrie and right here in Okotoks," he says." It's just such a fantastic opportunity to give back to the different communities and the areas around Calgary and as well as Alberta of course."
