Ghost hunting brings in a bit more interest at Halloween and that's just fine with one Alberta Paranormal Investigator.

Ben Martin is the Lead Investigator with Lethbridge Paranormal Investigation Teams.

He says one of the most interesting cases he's checked on is the Empress Theatre in Fort MacLeod, which local legend says could be haunted by the spirit of Cardston, Alberta native and Hollywood Movie star Faye Wray, who's movie career spanned almost 60 years, but she's most well known for starring in the original "King Kong" in 1933.

"We have a theory that it might actually be the ghost of Faye Wray, just because she had her start there early on in her acting career. There's also the portrait of Faye Wray painted on the wall that was done by Neil Boyle. We can't actually ever say for certain, but we suspect that may have been the ghost of Faye Wray that was sobbing in the dressing rooms."

He says in his years chasing downs spooks and spectres only one time did he get scared.

That was when he and his team were checking out the "Thing in the River Bottom" which is a structure built with river debris in Lethbridge's Oldman River Valley, which has sparked controversy since it showed up.

"We captured what looked like an apparition. Once we blew that picture up, it's quite obvious you can actually make out a very clear face of what looks like a, I hate to use the word demon, but something definitely not human in that photograph."

Here's a video about the Empress Theatre put together by the Investigators.
