A call to Okotoks RCMP about a suspicious vehicle resulted in three arrests.

On May 13, police say they received the call from a property owner in the Foothills concerned about a suspicious vehicle with two people inside.

When police arrived on scene they confirmed there were two stolen vehicles and two suspects were arrested while the third fled on foot.

The K-9 unit was brought in and after a quick search the suspect was found along with items believed to be used to help commit property related crimes.

Mathew Gilchrist, 35, and Jordan Sims, 34, have both been charged with break and enter, four counts of possession of property under $5,000, possession of break in tools, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, and possession of an intercepting device. They were released on their own recognizance.

Christopher Ireland, 40, has been charged with break and enter, four counts of possession of property under $5,000, possession of break in tools, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of an intercepting device, four counts of failing to comply with recognizance, possession of a controlled substance, and misuse of a credit card. He was initially held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police are encouraging residents to report any suspicious activity.
