The Sheep River Health Trust is ready to capture moments with Santa again this year.

The Health Trust's Photos With Santa campaign is back where residents have the opportunity to book in for photos with the man in red at the Okotoks Recreation Centre for $50.

Andrea Mitchell, executive director of the SRHT, says there's benefits of taking part in the campaign instead of going to the mall.

"You've lined up for an hour then your kids are tired by the time they get to Santa and they don't smile in that one photo you do get. With us, you get to prebook your time, show up for your photo and go right in and get 10 minutes with Santa and we take any photos you want. Individuals of the kids, kids together, a family photo with Santa...  you get your USB, take it home and do whatever you want."

Mitchell says the funds from the photos will go back into the Health Trust.

"We support health and wellness here in the Foothills and specifically right here in the Okotoks Health and Wellness Centre we have some family first initiatives we're doing to help support a strategy that Alberta Health Services has."

The first sessions for Photos With Santa take place Nov. 19.
