Carstar in Okotoks and High River are ready to give vehicles a spring cleaning for charity.

Their annual Soaps it Up car wash is a national event and raises funds for cystic fibrosis research. The Okotoks and High River locations give their funds directly to the Alberta Children's Hospital.

Mark Karfan, Owner of Carstar Okotoks, says they have a big goal they're looking to meet.

"The event has raised over $3 million across North America to date and this year $375,000 is the goal for all events in total."

Car washes will cost $5 and RCMP and the Okotoks Fire Department will join in on the event as well.

Karfan says it's an event he looks forward to each year.

"It's a dedication between myself and the staff to raise the funds for these children. It's definitely a pleasure and an honour to help these kids in any way we can. It's dear to our hearts for sure."

The Soaps it Up car wash takes place June 9.
