High River RCMP are tracking down the owners of some stolen property.

Constable John Rotheisler says a Town of High River employee was checking on the water lagoons east of Cargill.

"There's some sea cans back there that the Town owns that they've had some issues issues with, so this employee thought he'd stop and just have a quick look and make sure everything was good and pulled into the sea cans and, in behind the sea cans was a flat deck trailer that belong to the town," he says. "He knew what equipment needed to be out there so he thought that was suspicious, he found some tracks leading off into the bushes and came across a pile of vehicles."

Police have located owners for all the vehicles, including two snow machines and a trailer out of Calgary, a Honda motocross motorcycle that was stolen out of Nanton, two ATVs, one from Strathmore and one from Calgary, a scooter out of Okotoks and a side by side ATV and flat deck trailer out of Okotoks.

One motocross motorcycle is still unidentified.

"It looks as though somebody's tried to grind the identification numbers off it and stamp in some different numbers, so I've had a hard time trying to locate and owner for that," Constable Rotheisler says.

Police believe it to be a red 2006 or 2008 Honda CRF450X.
