The final numbers are in from the Sheep River Health Trust's annual golf tournament.

The tournament brought in over $74,000 which put the organization over the top to finish the tub room renovation project at Oilfields General Hospital.

Tanya Thorn, Sheep River Health Trust representative, says the total is a huge increase over last years event.

"Part of that was due to a $40,000 donation we received from the High River Hospital Foundation," she explains. "They're very committed to helping out seniors in our community as well so they really wanted to help finish off that tub room project with us so that helped put us over the top."

Alberta Health Services will be putting ideas out to bid with a goal of construction starting on the tub room in the fall.

Thorn says the organization couldn't accomplish what it does if it weren't for its sponsors and donors.

"We get a great turn out of sponors for our golf tournament between our Health Heroes and our Health Champions, just the general donors that come out and sponsor a hole to come and golf too. We couldn't do it without any of them so they're a huge part of what we are able to do in the community."
