Foothills residents have a chance to meet Santa while supporting local health and wellness initiatives.

The Sheep River Health Trust's Photos With Santa campaign is back for it's fourth year at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.

Photo sessions are booked online and for $50 a USB stick is given at the end containing all of the photos.

Andrea Mitchell, Executive Director of the Sheep River Health Trust, says the possibilities are endless with the photos.

"You can take any combination of photos with you, Santa, the kids, family, individuals, all sorts of photos for you and you get a USB with all your photos to do whatever you'd like with," she explains. "You can print them, email them, post them on Facebook, they're yours to do whatever with."

This year the backdrop and set for the photos has been given a new look and a drop box for letters to Santa has been added where they'll be delivered to the jolly old elf.

Mitchell says funds from the photo sessions are going towards a local project.

"Right now we're supporting the maternity project at High River Hospital. We believe a stronger Foothills is better for all of us so we've agreed to support that project with our fundraisers in December."
