The Rowan House Emergency Shelter is running low on a few donation items.

The shelter helps support women and their children going through difficult times which includes supplying them items they may need.

Ally Cramm, community relations coordinator for the Rowan House, says they're looking for basic necessities.

"We're looking for new socks and underwear between sizes small to large and new t-shirts, pyjamas, and yoga pants in all sizes."

She says they're also accepting diapers, boys clothes (sizes 8-10) and girls clothes (sizes 5-10), and towels (face, bath and hand). Toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes are also appreciated.

Cramm recommends people contact them before making a donation.

"The best way to donate items to the Rowan House would be to call the shelter first at (403) 652-3316 and that way we can discuss the donation and they best way to get it to us."
