Fall seems to be creeping up fast as the Town of Okotoks has opened registration for programming from its Fall Community Guide.

Registration for programs opened Thursday morning for Okotoks and MD of Foothills residents.

Janette Messer, community programs and events manager for the Town of Okotoks, says there's a program offered for just about everyone.

"We offer the gamut, so we have anything from preschool programs, classroom based programs, to sports programs. We have swimming programs and everything in between up to a huge variety of seniors and 55 plus type of programs."

Messer says some programs fill up quicker than others.

"Definitely the swimming programs, it's great that people want to ensure their children have a great background in swimming, it is a life skill after all so that is heavy the first day and if anybody wants to make sure they get their children in they should call nice and early."

There are opportunities for rec fee assistance through the Town and thanks to the Okotoks Family Resource Centre, KidSport Okotoks, and Canadian Tire Jump Start. For more information on fee assistance click here.

Registration for all others opens Aug. 17 at 6 a.m.
