Ethel Tucker Park was host to Saturday's Raise the Roof Run in support of Southern Alberta Habitat for Humanity.

Participants in the run had their choice of either the 5K track or 10K track around the Sheep River.

Co-Organizer Benson Wyatt says, the day was raising money for a good cause in an enjoyable way.

"The point of the run was to get out, be active while having fun."

Wyatt adds that the weather being warm helped make it a fun and enjoyable day.

The money raised at the event will go to Southern Alberta's Habitat for Humanity.

"They build houses for the homeless in Southern Alberta and help build a sense of community and belonging," Wyatt says

Donations are still being tallied,Wyatt says he thinks the grand total is around $5,000

"We will have to do some final counting, but I believe that is it."
