The Notley Government has received an independent report on the 2013 flood.

The report from MNP comes with 16 recommendations

Fifteen are being accepted outright, while the sisteenth is being accepted in principle.

One of the major recommendations is to redesign and implement changes to the Disaster Recovery Program including using a case management model with flexibility to hire more staff when needed.

Another pair of recommendations call for a new state-of-the-art Provincial Operations Centre and for regionalization of emergency management.

Almost all the items on the list are already being worked on.
